The Swiss Text Corpus is a balanced reference corpus for 20th and 21st century standard German in Switzerland with 23 million running words.
The corpus is constantly being expanded with new texts. By the end of 2025, it should contain a further 1.5 million text words for the 21st century.

The Board of Trustees for the Schweizer Textkorpus (at that time under the name Digitales Wörterbuch der deutschen Sprache DWDS) was established in 2000 by the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences SAHS. Its main goal consisted in assembling a corpus of Swiss texts and ensuring its accessibility and continuation.
